By day she’s selling custom tea out of her home. By night (and err, also by day) solving crimes and keeping her customers out of jail.
Charlie Kingsley never wanted to become an amateur sleuth. She would have much preferred living a quiet life growing herbs and flowers and turning those into custom teas she sells out of her house.
It isn’t her fault that Redemption, Wisconsin, has way too many murders and disappearances that a small town has a right to have. Nor is it her fault that so many of her customers end up in the middle of a murderous scandal. She’s just trying to sell tea (but thank goodness she has a knack for solving crimes otherwise she might be out of business!).
If you haven’t heard of this strange little town, quite honestly it’s just like any other quirky Midwestern small town.
Well, maybe it has more than its fair of secrets… not to mention a strange and mysterious past.
And never mind how many people disappear… or die… every year. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
Right?
If you like smart amateur sleuths who can solve crimes without Google and smart phones in an odd little town with its own personality, welcome to Redemption and Charlie Kingsley…your next obsession.

A dead wedding planner. An accused bridezilla. Can Charlie save the day and the happily ever after?
Even though Charlie Kingsley is no doctor, the custom tea blends she makes occasionally produce miraculous results.
Like the one she steps in to create to calm a VERY high-strung bride-to-be.
It works, much to everyone’s relief.
Until a murder sabotages the wedding …
And the bride-to-be is the main suspect.
Luckily, there’s one thing that Charlie is better at than making teas, and that’s solving cases—which she’s going to need to do if there’s going to be any hope of the wedding ending in a happily ever after.
An injured Santa. A dead elf. Can Charlie save the day before Christmas gets cancelled?
When Charlie and Pat see an injured Santa on the side of the road in the middle of a snowstorm, of course they had to stop and take him to the hospital.
They assume that will be the end of their good Samaritan duties, until a dead elf is discovered in the same area where they picked up Santa … and Santa has no memory of what happened.
With Santa being the number one suspect, Charlie and Pat race to discover what really happened and keep Christmas from being cancelled.
If Loch Ness Monsters aren’t real, then who killed the scientist investigating the lake? And why are there teethmarks on the body…
Redemption wouldn’t be Redemption without something weird going on in one of its lakes.
In this case, residents are torn between it being a Loch Ness Monster (named “Locky”) or some other water-based supernatural creature.
So, to set the record straight, two scientists come to investigate.
But then one of them is found dead.
Specifically, drowned.
In the lake.
There are teeth marks on the body … and they appear to be from an actual Loch Ness Monster.
Charlie has no choice but to dive headfirst into this investigation, before another victim surfaces.
Charlie’s very first case!
Normally Darla, the ghost that haunts the Redemption Inn, behaves herself. Relatively speaking.
Nancy, the owner of the Redemption Inn, swears that Darla is harmless. At least, mostly harmless. Maybe she plays a few pranks on some unsuspecting guests, but it’s all in good fun.
Until one of the hotel guests is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, and Darla is the one who’s blamed.
With the threat of guests cancelling and her business on the line, Nancy turns to Charlie to help find the real culprit so Darla can rest in peace.
Gargoyles aren’t real, right? But, then who (or what) attacked Cyndi in the graveyard in the middle of the night?
Charlie Kingsley is NOT a doctor. She is very clear about this to all her customers who purchase her teas and tinctures.
But, somehow that doesn’t stop her customers from treating her like a doctor. Including calling her in the middle of the night to help with an emergency.
What’s the emergency? Her customer’s daughter, Cyndi, was attacked by a … gargoyle?
But gargoyles aren’t real!
Right?
So, who attacked Cyndi? And whose next?

A USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author, Michele PW (Pariza Wacek) taught herself to read at 3 years old because she wanted to write stories so badly. Mystery stories, to be exact. They’re clean and twisty with a dash of romance and the supernatural in them.
When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading, hanging out with her dog, or watching the Food Network and imagining she’s an awesome cook. (Spoiler alert, she’s not. Luckily for the whole family, Mr. PW is in charge of the cooking.)
If you love clean and twisty books that blends multiple genres as well, then welcome to Redemption. You’re going to love it here.
