Here’s a little about each case:
The Mysterious Case of Merry Bell (Christmas-themed):
In 1982, Merry Bell was found dead in her kitchen.
It was the night before the big gingerbread house competition, and she had been hit in the head with a rolling pin.
Merry had always won that competition (actually, she typically would win ALL of the baking competitions in Redemption). The police had concluded that her biggest rival, Goldie Tinsel, was the one who had killed her.
But even though Goldie didn’t have an alibi, the cops were never able to prove she did it, and eventually they dropped it.
Now, years later, Goldie has asked us to look into this case. She swears she’s innocent and she’s tired of everyone assuming she’s guilty and had gotten away with killing Merry. She wants us to clear her name.
The Mysterious Case of Tippy Goodyear (New Year-themed):
In 1983, Tippy Goodyear choked death on an engagement ring that had been placed in a champagne glass. She was attending a New Year’s Eve party with six of her closest friends and police ruled her death as an accident. No one knew how the ring had ended up in a champagne glass, and with the amount of alcohol consumed by all of the party goers, police determined it was a tragic accident.
Tippy’s landlady, Ms. Manor, hired us to look into Tippy’s death. She had always been quite fond of Tippy, and had always felt like something was “off” with Tippy’s death.
But, that’s not the reason why she hired us… Or, at least not the full reason.
A few days ago she had received a peculiar letter in the mail. That letter, combined with her past suspicions, is why she’s now our client.
The Mysterious Case of Crystal Cox:
In 1989, Crystal Cox was found dead in her home. It appeared she had fallen down the stairs in the middle of the night. The police ruled that it was an accident and the case was closed.
Her daughter, Julie, has hired us to look into it. She’s convinced her mother’s death was not an accident but murder, and she wants us to prove it.
