Your privacy is very important to me. At MPWnovels I follow these basic principles:
- I only ask you for personal information unless if I need it.
- I don’t share your personal information with anyone, unless you purchase directly from me (then I share your information with your credit card provider, or payment method provider).
- The only personal information that I store on my servers are what I need for day-to-day operations of my website, newsletter, membership site, etc. See below for more information.
I operate several websites including MPWnovels.com, MichelePW.com, LoveBasedPublishing.com and others. It’s my policy to respect your privacy regarding any information I may collect while operating my websites.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, I collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. I do this to better understand how my visitors use my websites. While I don’t share this information, I do use external tools such as Google Analytics to help process this information. Therefore, this non-personally-identifying information is stored on those systems in an aggregated form.
Gathering and Protection of Personally-Identifying Information
I also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on my blogs. This information is only disclosed to my administrators for the purpose of reviewing/approving blog comments and helping with membership and newsletter(s) operations. Comment information is also passed to external anti-spam software to remove/flag spam. This external software (company) may store your comments in aggregate form. If you do not wish for personal information to be sent, please do not enter personally-identifying information into comments.
If you subscribe to my newsletters, sign up to my membership site, or email me directly, I collect your email and name so that I can communicate with you. I do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. If you do not signup for these extra services, I do not store such information. If you email me directly, your email may/will be stored on my personal computer(s) and devices where I send/receive email. Communication via any social networking platform is subject to the personally-identifying disclosures of those platforms, be it public or direct message. These platforms are beyond my control, and their policies override my policies.
I only disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to my team and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on my behalf or to provide services available at my websites (such as credit card processing), and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Since I cannot control these companies, it is possible that some of their employees, contractors or affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using my websites, you consent to my transferring such information to them. I will not sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone, period. I will not share potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone, other than my team or vendors as described above, or in response to a subpoena, court order or other legitimate governmental request, or when I believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect my property or intellectual rights. If you are a registered user of any of my websites or services (including memberships and newsletters) and have supplied your email address, I may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with me and my books or other products.
Typically, I won’t send more than an email per week to newsletter subscribers, and far less to non-newsletter subscribers. If you purchase a product from me, or subscribe to a membership site, you will likely be added to my newsletter list. You can unsubscribe at any time. Please note that I take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information, including keeping all website software and operating systems up-to-date.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. My websites use cookies to identify and track visitors, their usage of my websites, and possibly website access preferences. If you do not wish to have cookies placed on your computer, you should set your browser(s) to refuse cookies before using any of my websites. Note that certain features of my sites will not function properly without the aid of cookies.
Ads
If an ad appears on my website, it is mine for my products or services. It is not placed there by a third-party vendor. I may promote other author’s books in blog-posts or emails. It is possible that such promotions contain affiliate links. These affiliate links will not affect the product price.
