Secret Diary of Helen Blackstone

What readers are saying about “The Secret Diary of Helen Blackstone”

Secret Diary of Helen Blackstone

Because this novella isn’t available on Amazon (at least not now, I may put upload it at some point) there’s no good way to post reviews for it.

So, I thought, why not have a spot on my blog?

Comment below if you’d like to leave your thoughts on “The Secret Diary of Helen Blackstone.” (And, yes, I would encourage you to do this even if you left a review on Goodreads because Goodreads will delete the book at some point because it’s not on Amazon.)

  1. This was a quick, but very captivating read that reminded me a great deal of the gripping horror writers of old. As gothic and open ended as the best of its class, I would still love to see a sequel that further delves into Helen’s future confinement and familial abandonment to her fate. Just as she is bound to her vow, so is the reader to her plight – well written and creepingly invasive, it is best to cede control of your imagination to blindly follow her entries. There are many serial points here that could be deftly developed by Wacek, who is a sinfully sinuous storyteller…let her gracefully lead you and hope for more to come. But if you do not appreciate the gothic atmosphere, then turn to more direct, less molten narrative.
